Edwina explores Peru
What an incredibly diverse and exciting country Peru is…Edwina has just come back from visiting Lima, the Sacred Valley and Cusco. She finally got to tick Macchu Picchu off her bucket list and she wasn’t disappointed. The scenery was spectacular and there is something very special about these Incan ruins. Due to time constraints she wasn’t able to hike the Incan Trail, however did get a taste for it when she climbed Huanu Pichu which was incredible but not for the feint hearted…splurge on the Belmond for the train trip back to the Sacred Valley and dance your way home. Walk down the cobble stoned streets of Cusco and stay in an old monastery or colonial Spanish house that has been converted into a stunning boutique hotel….and the one thing she was most surprised and delighted by was the food…Lima is currently the food capital of the world…make sure you book your restaurants in advance as they are almost impossible to get into otherwise!!!…and there is still so much that she didn’t see, the Amazon, the Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca….she really wants to go back!!
